The Help Me Sprout Project

Will you help a child sprout?

With the support of the community, over the next two years, The Help Me Sprout Project plans to develop A Broken Twig Can Sprout: Recognizing Emotional Distress in Children—A Guidebook for Parents and Educators, created to help loving adults notice the quiet signs of emotional distress in children. We believe that when emotional distress is recognized early, suffering can be softened, healing can begin sooner, and children can be supported before their pain paralyzes them.

Your support will also provide college scholarships to adolescents who, against all odds, have survived adversity. Additionally, we plan to provide support to families through an annual back-to-school fair in several states, where children in low-income communities receive the supplies they need to begin the school year with confidence.

When you give, you are helping children feel seen, supported, and believed in—planting seeds of safety and possibility so even the most fragile twigs are given the opportunity to grow strong and bloom.
